In 1975 Robert Doneff, company founder, began building homes and apartment communities in Manitowoc County. Nicolas Doneff, Robert’s brother, later joined the business. In 1995, Robert’s son, Anton, took over the business. Anton’s sister, Sarah, joined the team in 2007.

Hometown Apartment Communities (a division of Doneff Companies) successfully built and manages 13 apartment communities made up of 727 apartment units of which 436 are located in Manitowoc County. Other Communities served include Sheboygan, Baileys Harbor, Sturgeon Bay, Janesville, West Bend, and Marshfield.
